Hi everyone! In this post, I'll tell you how to crochet a penguin wearing an earmuffs.
This tutorial is a written pattern version of a video that was posted on my YouTube channel called "crochet penguin with ear muffs | winter and christmas crochet ideas".

sl st - slip stitch
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
dec - decrease
flo - front loop only

MATERIALS
- 5ply milk cotton yarn (thickness: 2mm)
- 3.00mm hook
- 5mm safety eyes
- Stitch Marker
- Scissors
- glue gun (if needed)

Body
Start with a purple yarn
R1 : magic ring, 6sc [6]
R2 : inc*6 [12]
R3 : (sc, inc)*6 [18]
R4 : (2sc, inc)*6 [24]
R5 : 24sc [24]
R6 : 8sc, 2sc in white, 4sc, 2sc in white, 8sc [24]
R7 : 7sc, 4sc in white, 2sc, 4sc in white, 7sc [24]
R8-R9 : 7sc, 10 sc in white, 7sc [24]
Change to light purple, cut the white and purple yarn
R10 : (3sc, inc)*6 [30]
R11-R15 : 30sc [30]
R16 : (3sc, dec)*6 [24]
R17 : (2sc, dec)*6 [18]
R18 : (sc, dec)*6 [12]
cut the yarn and fasten off
Hands (make 2)
R1 : magic ring, 4sc [4]
R2 : (sc, inc)*2 [6]
R3-R4 : 6sc [6]
Leave a long tail for sewing, sew it on both sides of the body.
Feet (make 2)
R1 : magic ring, 6sc [6]
Sew it/glue it on the bottom.
Ear Muffs (make 2)
R1 : magic ring, 6sc [6]
R2 : (sc, inc)*3 [9]
R3 : 9sc [9]
Cut the yarn but leave a long tail for sewing. Sew them on both sides of the head.
Make a slip knot, insert it on one of the earmuffs. Make chains until you reach the other side of the head, then make a slip stitch on the ear muffs.
