This tutorial is a written pattern version of a video that was posted on my YouTube channel called "books & coffee cup/tea cup crochet bookmark tutorial".

sl st - slip stitch
ch - chain
sc - single crochet

MATERIALS
- thin polyester yarn (thickness: 1mm)
- 2.5mm hook

Coffee/Tea
R1: magic ring, 6sc [6]
R2: (sc, inc)*3 [9]
cut the yarn and make invisible stitch
Cup
R1: magic ring, 6sc [6]
R2: inc*6 [12]
R3: <BLO> 12sc [12]
R4: 12sc [12]
R5: (3sc, inc)*3 [15]
R6: 15sc [15]
cut the yarn, leave a long tail for sewing
-> sew the coffee/tea into the cup
Cup's Handle
slip knot, make 6ch.
skip the 1st ch, start from the 2nd ch make sc for each ch
total: 5sc
cut the yarn, leave a long tail for sewing
-> sew the handle into the cup
Plate
R1: magic ring, 6sc [6]
R2: inc*6 [12]
R3: (sc, inc)*6 [18]
cut the yarn and make a invisible finish
Book Cover
Slip knot, make 11ch
R1: skip the 1st ch, start from the 2nd ch make sc for each ch [10]
R2-R6: 10sc [10]
cut the yarn and weave in the end
Paper
Slip knot, make 9ch
R1: skip the 1st ch, start from the end one make sc for each ch [8]
R2-R5: 8sc [8]
cut the yarn and weave in the end
->glue the book cover and the paper together to make a book
String
make a slip knot, but leave a long yarn for the tail bcs we're going to use it for sewing later
make ch as many as you want
sl st on the book, cut the yarn and weave in the end
using the long tail, sew the plate and the cup together (you can also just glue them if you want)
