Hi everyone! In this post, I'll tell you how to crochet a gingerbread man coaster & christmas ornament.
This tutorial is a written pattern version of a video that was posted on my YouTube channel called "crochet gingerbread coaster & christmas ornament".

sl st - slip stitch
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet
dec - decrease
flo - front loop only

SIZE GUIDE

MATERIALS
- 5ply milk cotton yarn (thickness: 2mm)
- 3.00mm hook
- Stitch Marker
- Scissors
- 8mm safety eyes/black felt
- glue gun (if needed)
TUTORIALS
Gingerbread (start from 00:37 on video)
R1: magic ring, 3ch, 10dc, sl st on the 1st dc [10]
R2: 3ch, (inc*10), sl st on the 1st dc [20]
R3: 3ch, (inc*20), sl st on the 1st dc [40]
R4: 3ch, (dc, inc)*20, sl st on the 1st dc [60]
if you want to make a coaster, cut the yarn and weave in the end.
if you want to make a christmas ornament, make the string with chains.
make the icing with surface crochet.
insert 8mm safety eyes, if you want to make the coaster, you can use black felt instead.
and make the mouth + blush using red yarn.
Bow (start from 08:55 on video)
start with a slip knot, make 17ch.
skip the 1st ch, start from the 2nd ch, make:
(sl st, sc, hdc, dc 2x, hdc, sc, sl st)*2
move to the other side of the ch, make:
(sl st, sc, hdc, dc 2x, hdc, sc, sl st)*2
cut the yarn but leave a long tail for sewing.
sew the 2 edges first, the wrap the yarn around the middle part of the bow about 5-6 times.
secure the yarn and sew it on the gingerbread.
